JAMMU, Sept 1: Shiksha Niketan organized inter house debate competition on the topic “Role of Students in Politics” and “Social Networking Sites” among the students of class 9th and class 7th respectively.
The students participated with full enthusiasm they presented their views in favour and against the topic. It was cut throat competition among the students. Students showed a lot of confidence while speaking on this topic. Students who were present there got knowledge about the positive and negative aspect of role of students in politics and social networking sites.
Among the participants of class 9th, Jasleen Kour of Gandhi House was adjudged as winner, while Sonali of Shanti House got second prize and Harshish of Shanti House bagged third prize.
Among the participants of class 7th, Ridhvi of Gandhi House was adjudged as winner, while Simrandeep Kour of Guru Nanak House got second prize and Tamana of Shanti House got third prize.
The prizes were distributed by Madhuri, Incharge of Middle Wing among the students.
The main Incharge Nirmal Sharma expressed her views on these topics. She said that the students should participate in politics during their student life. She also highlighted the advantages and disadvantages of social networking sites.
