JAMMU, Dec 26: An inter-State drug peddler was arrested with 408 grams of heroin worth around Rs 70-80 lakh from BC Road area here today.
Acting on specific information, Yaqoob Ali of Babu Bari Hoshiarpur, Punjab, was arrested with the consignment by a team of Police Station Bus Stand Jammu led by SHO concerned under the guidance of SDPO City North and SP North with overall supervision of SSP Jammu Joginder Singh, said a police official.
According to him, the accused has been accordingly booked in case FIR number 64/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bus Stand and further investigation taken up.
