JAMMU, June 22: Police in Jammu District claimed today they have arrested one inter-state drug peddler with 5 kilograms and 811 grams of ganja from Narwal area.
A police official said that Shivshankar of Rampur Shamchand, District Vaishali, Bihar was arrested with the consignment during routine patrolling duty near Railway Pulli, Narwal, Jammu.
He said the accused has been booked in case FIR number 146/2024 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a team of Incharge Police Post Narwal and SHO Bahu Fort under the supervision of SDPO City East and SP City South Jammu.
