Interactive session held between J&K Bank officers, industrialists

JAMMU, June 24: An interactive session was held between J&K Bank officers and leading industrialists from Jammu Division, here today.
Chairman J&K Bank RK Chhibber informed the gathering about the launch of SMA-2 Scheme of J&K Bank by `ble Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu.
Arun Gandotra, President of J&K Bank dwelt at length about the details of Scheme.
The Industrialists highlighted various issues including included higher rate of interest, non acceptance of LC of J&K Bank by HDFC Bank, problems in acceptance of bank guarantee by the Northern Command, hardships faced by the Micro units particularly the ones under PMEGP in availing finance at the branch level, difficulty in availing additional finance from the bank and upgrading the CIBIL rating in case of beneficiaries going for OTS with the Bank.
Dr Ashwani Kumar from MSME-DI Jammu highlighted the importance of Champion Portal for registering grievances by the MSMEs.
Director Industries and Commerce Jammu Anoo Malhotra asked the representatives of MSME Department to organize UAM Melas and awareness camps about TReDS platform for the benefit of MSMEs.
Chhibber informed that the new Scheme for SMA-2 shall be having a corpus of Rs 2600 crore and shall cover 80000 beneficiaries under MSME category including Hotels and guest houses. He addressed majority of the issues of the industrialists on spot and assured the gathering that their other genuine issues shall be addressed as soon as possible.
The officials, beside the above included, Joint Directors of Industries Trishala, Ved Parkash, General Managers of various DICs, Zonal Heads of J&K Bank Sunit Kumar and Sudhir Gupta and other officials of the Bank. The industrialists who participated in the interactive session included Lalit Mahajan Chairman FoIJ, Tarun Singla, Harvinder Singh, Vijay Aggarwal, Ajit Bawa, Arjun Malhotra, TS Reen, Kanwal Koul, Annil Suri and Ankush.
