JAMMU, Nov 10: Jammu StartUp Community in collaboration with International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu organised workshop on Digital Marketing for Start Ups.
The event was attended by students of MBA (International Business) as well as founders of various Jammu based Startups.
Kanav Gupta, CEO, Zionixsoft shared the vision of Jammu start up community which is to nurture and empower Jammu based early stage start ups. He emphasised about the relevance of digital marketing for reaching out to global clients across corporate landscape through Educate-Connect-Showcase and Winner framework of doing business.
The guest speakers for occasion were Arush Mahajan, CEO, Viaens and Rupesh Masson, Regional Director UCMAS, Jammu & Kashmir. Arush Mahajan emphasised the need of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and Digital literacy for creating holistic digital marketing interfaces. The pertinent areas of concern for digital Start-ups like Domain Management, Content Upgradation and preferential use of Organic and Inorganic Marketing were highlighted.
Rupesh Masson, Regional Director, Ucmas Abacus, J&K shared his online journey and motivated budding entrepreneurs via internet practice sessions for easy adoption of digital tools to increase their startup revenue. He enlightened students how to make profits out of Social media platforms and buying behaviour of customers.
Speaking on the occasion, Vaibhav Sharma, Co-founder Travelers Dost and The Himalayas 360 showcased the hidden business potential of Jammu region to the the participants by presenting a video on tourism potential of Jammu. The video reflected various hidden entrepreneurial opportunities that rest at the heart of Jammu City. He stressed upon the importance of reinventing the unique selling proposition of Jammu Tourism which presently comprise of the essence of religious places only.
Professor Deepak Raj Gupta, Director, International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management, highlighted the importance of entrepreneurial interventions in academic setups so that budding entrepreneurs get connected to potential mentors.
Prof. Deepak Raj Gupta shared his vision that Jammu will be soon start up hub and he also assured the support to Jammu Start up community in their future endeavours to promote entrepreneurship among young minds.
