Interests of Pir Panjal region will not be compromised: Javed

SURANKOTE, Sept 11: Pir Panjal Foundation-an NGO held its maiden meeting in Surankote wherein senior politicians and civil society members of the region participated, here today.
The prominent leaders including Javed Ahmed Rana, former MLA and Shafiq Mir, BDC Chairman, Adv Javed Iqbal, senior PDP leader, Khawaja Ghulam Mohammad (Retired DC), Mian Sheraz Azhari, senior NC leader, Ch Ishtiaq Bhatti, Senior Law officer (Retired), Ashfaq Rana, Prof Zaman (Retired Principal), Dr Mumtaz, Deputy Director Health ( Retired) and Nazir Hussain Qureshi were present during the meeting.
While speaking on the occasion, Javed Rana pledged that the interest of Pir Panjal will not be compromised at any cost. He said that people of this region are now ready to fight for their cause till it is attained. He said Pir Panjal with a population of over 10 lakh, deserves a Provincial status along with a separate parliamentary constituency.
Rana appealed that Delimitation Commission which is already working on delimitation of Constituencies in the J&K, should also keep in mind the aspirations of people of the region for a separate Parliamentary Constituency.
Rana further said that the region requires immediate focus of the Government and the Government must come forward to fulfil all the aspirations of the people of this region. The meeting was organised by Ishtiaq Bhatti, Retired Law Officer.
