Interim bail to man arrested for defying curfew

JAMMU, Aug 14: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, Kartar Singh today granted interim bail to one Rajesh Gupta, who was arrested by Bakshi Nagar Police for defying curfew.
According to police report, petitioner was in custody since August 11 for the commission of offences falling under Sections 153-A/ 436/188/147/ 148/149/ 427 RPC. The allegations against the petitioner were that he violated the curfew restrictions, broke open a shop at Subash Nagar near Parshotam Building and set it on fire.
After hearing Advocate Baldev Singh for the petitioner whereas APP for the State, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “keeping in view of the facts and circumstances, the petitioner is admitted to interim bail on furnishing his bail bond and personal bond of amount Rs 20,000 each to the satisfaction of the IO with the direction that he shall attend the investigation from 10 am to 5 pm daily”.
