Internal democracy biggest strength of BJP: Khanna

JAMMU, Sept 16: Calling for strengthening organizational structure of the party, BJP National Vice President, MP, Prabhari J&K and National Elections Incharge Avinash Rai Khanna said that the internal democracy within the BJP is its biggest strength.
Addressing a meeting of Election Incharge of the districts of the State during his recent visit to Jammu, Khanna said, “BJP is the political party where even a grass root worker can become National president of the party, contrary to the other political parties, where the practice of promoting a particular family exists.
He asked the Incharge of the district elections to conduct the booth level elections forthwith following by Mandal and district levels. Khanna further asked them to conduct entire process under the guidelines lay down in the party constitution besides following complete transparency in the whole exercise.
Khanna also asked the Incharge of the districts to honour the popular sentiments of the party activists wherever there is consensus made on certain candidates after proper consultation, the same should be appointed and if needed to hold election, proper process be followed.
In his address, BJP State President and Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma assured National Elections Incharge that each and every guideline will be strictly followed by the State unit and the entire exercise will be completed within the stipulated time as prescribed in the election schedule.
The meeting was also attended by State General secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, State general secretaries Dr Narinder Singh and Munish Sharma.
Meanwhile, BJP State President and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma in consultation with State General Secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul and other senior leaders, nominated Prof Varinder Gupta and Rajni Sethi as State Spokesperson of the party with immediate effect. These two nominations have been made in order to utilize their services for further broadening the media cell and boost its functioning.
