JAMMU, Dec 19: International Art Exhibition organized by Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu in collaboration with Kala Kendra, Jammu, ArtFort India, Chandigarh and Viraj Kala Kendra, Jammu concluded today.
On the valedictory function, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, Legislative Assembly was the chief guest, whileas CIC GR Sufi was the guest of honour. Saujanya Sharma, Triloke Kaul, pioneer of Modern Art in the Kashmir Valley, Prof Rita Jitendra, Amrik Singh Namdhari and ND Jamwal were the special guests. Zafar Iqbal Manhas, TS Batra, Dr Baljeet Singh Raina, KL Verma, Dr Chitra Mishra, besides large number of artists, musicians, writers and intellectuals.
One hundred and thirty artists from abroad and from twenty states of India participated in this exhibition. The exhibition was dedicated to Late Gobind Kaur, first woman sculptor of J&K.
OP Sharma, Director, JKCCA curated the exhibition which was conceived by Jang S Verman.
The art work of artists from different countries who participated in this show include Anita Algerot, Camilla Lengstrand, Charlotte Rönnlund, Eva Dillner, Evald Björkman, Gunilla Lofgrin, Margareth Osju, Mari Vedin Laaksonen, all from Sweden, Ashair Naeem from Pakistan, Li Yu Wu from Taiwan, Rajeshjwary Priyaranjini from Bangladesh, Ramesh Halari from Canada and Ruhsar Ozer from Turkey.
The exhibition had a show of varied hues of expressions, mediums and styles shown by three generations together globally. The works of Indian artists whose works were displayed in the exhibition include Dr Chhaya Dubey, Dr Romika Bhasin Billore, (MP), Rajinder Kaur, Panchali Daurah, Pinaz Kawsher (Assam), Ramshabad Singh, Neelima Gupta, Pritima Singh, Rakshanda Yadav Ratnesh (UP), Kanu Patel, (Gujarat), Chandana Khan (AP), Prabhinder Lall, Ishwar Dayal, Manmadha Rao, Dr. Gurcharan Singh, Ravinder Singh, Vikas, Harjeet Kour, Amandeep Kaur, Manojot Kour, Vinod Kumar, V K Deepthy (Tamil Nadu), Roma Bahl (New Delhi), Masood Naqishbandi, Sabeena Gul, Shahida Malik, Ganesh Kumar Sharma, (J&K), Meena Baya, Nathu Lal Verma, Nisha Soni  (Rajasthan), Naveen Dhiman (HP), Nitasha Jaini, Reena Choudhary, Kusum Chauhan (Haryana), Ramesh Bhosale, Samar Singh Thakur ( Maharashtra), Sankari Mitra, Minu Dey, Tapan Kar (West Bengal), Shahed Pasha (Karnataka), Dhananjay Sharma, Jatinder Kour and others.
