JAMMU, May 19: The Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Central University of Jammu,organised a two days International Conference on Recent Innovations in Computing (ICRIC-2022).
The conference (ICRIC-2022) was formally inaugurated by the Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu in the University main campus.
In his remarks, Prof. Jain lauded the efforts of the organisers of the conference for successfully organising the ICRIC-2022. He encouraged the researchers and participants to focus on quality research output in terms of patents and articles. Prof. Devanand, Dean School of Basic and Applied Sciences, congratulated the organising committee and encouraged the participants to take maximum benefit from the event. Prof. Srinivas Talluri from Michigan State University USA delivered a talk on “Managing Macro-level Supply Chain Disruptions”.Another keynote speaker on the inaugural day was Prof. Petia Radeva, from University of Barcelona Spain and she delivered a sessionon “Deep learning models for Food Analysis”.
Prof. Kusum Deep from IIT, Roorkee in her keynote address, discussed the roles and applications of Nature Inspired Optimization. The inaugural ceremony of the Conference was started with welcome address by Dr. Yashwant Singh, Conference General Chair, Registrar (I/C) and Head of Department, Computer Science and IT.
He informed the audience about importance and theme of the conference on modern era of innovative computing. He informed that more than 162 manuscripts were received from researchers/ academician covering six different countries and 15 states across the country.
In ICRIC-2022, out of the 162 received manuscripts, only 35 high quality research articles have been accepted for oral presentation. The accepted articles were presented by the participants in 8 different technical sessions during both days of the Conference.
The technical sessions in the conference were chaired by various delegates including Prof. Brij. B Gupta (Asia University, Taiwan), Prof. Manu Sood (Himachal Pradesh University), Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta (SMVDU, Katra), Prof. Vinod Sharma (University of Jammu), Prof. Sudeep Tanwar (Nirma University, Ahmedabad), Dr. Ashok Sharma (University of Jammu), Dr. Mayank Agarwal (GKV Haridwar) and Dr. Pradeep Kumar Singh (KIET, Gazaibad). The ICRIC-2022 was financially supported by SERB-Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and technically sponsored by Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE), Spinger.
The other organising committee members of the ICRIC-2022 include Dr. Neerendra Kumar and Dr. Deepti Malhotra, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and IT.The inaugural and valedictory functions were anchored by Dr. Bhavna Arora, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Arvind Selwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and IT.
