JAMMU, Nov 8: First International Vedic Conference on “Vedon Mein Vigyan” is being organized in Jammu on November 9-10, under the joint aegis of Vigyan Parishad, Jammu & Kashmir and Central Sanskrit University, Shri Ranbir Campus Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
The conference will be held in hybrid format, giving participants an opportunity to connect directly with renowned scholars and experts in the field of Vedic studies, Sanskrit and science. The in-person format has been designed to foster interactive discussions and meaningful exchanges face-to-face.
In the two-day conference, scholars and researchers will explore how Vedic principles can be applied to address current global challenges, potentially offering innovative solutions rooted in time-tested wisdom.
Director of Central Sanskrit University, Prof Shridhar Mishra said that the chief guest for the inauguration of the conference will be Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. Special guest will be Dr Shivkumar Sharma, National Organization Secretary of Vijnana Bharati. Prof Srinivasa Varkhadi, Vice Chancellor, Central Sanskrit University New Delhi and Prof B N Tripathi, Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu and President Vigyan Parishad J&K shall be the other dignitaries during the event. Saraswat guests will be Prof Rani Sadasiva Murthy, Vice Chancellor, Sri Venkateswara Vedic University, Tirupati. Prof Sanjeev Jain Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu, Prof. Vijay Kumar CG, Vice-Chancellor, Maharishi Panini Sanskrit University, Ujjain, Prof Prafulla Kumar Mishra, Vice-Chairman, Maharishi Sandipani Ved Vidya Pratishthan are invited as Guests in the conference. Prof. S.K. Mehta, Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof. D. Prasad, Registrar, Malla Reddy University, Hyderabad, Prof. Manoj Kumar Mishra, Head of the Department of Vedas, Central Sanskrit University, Prof.Devander Mishra Head, Department of Veda LalBahadurShastri National Sanskrit University and Prof. RG Murali Krishna, Registrar of the Central Sanskrit University are amongst the dignitaries. Renowned scholars of Ved from China, Ukraine, America and Mauritius along with Prof.Devendra Mishra, Head of the Veda Department of the LBS National Sanskrit University.
Prof Pawanesh Abrol, Organising Secretary of the Conference and Samir Vohra, Organising Secretary Vigyan Parishad, J&K informed that during the two-day international conference, about 100 research papers on the subjects of Sanskrit, Veda Vidya, Ayurveda, Agricultural Science, Biology, Botany, Computer Science and Yoga will be read by researchers from India and other countries.
