Internet services restored

JAMMU, June 18: Internet services were today restored in entire Jammu region after two days as normalcy prevailed in entire region following two sacrilegious incidents inside the temples at Roop Nagar on June 14 and Nanak Nagar on June 16.
The internet services resumed this afternoon, official sources said, adding the telecom providers restored the services on request letter of the administration.
The internet services were first shutdown on the night of June 14 after sacrilegious incident at ‘Aap Shamboo’ temple at Roop Nagar but were resumed in the afternoon of June 16 only to be stopped immediately as another sacrilegious act was reported in Nanak Nagar.
Along with internet, the broadband services were also suspended on the night of June 16 but they were restored yesterday morning. The net services were completely restored this afternoon.
Meanwhile, complete normalcy prevailed in the entire Jammu region today as no protests or any other kind of incident was reported from any part.
Police was investigating both the incidents of sacrilege, sources said.
