JAMMU, Feb 26: An International Conference on Emerging Trends in AI for Industry and Education: Opportunities and Challenges hosted by Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME), in collaboration with The University of Adelaide was held here today.
The conference commenced with an invigorating opening address by Prof. J Philip, Founder and Chairman of XIME Bangaluru, who highlighted the importance of AI in today’s context and how it is likely to impact the future of workforce.
He emphasized the fact that irrespective of the mind boggling growth of AI, human brain will continue to be superior and there is no need to be concerned on that point.
Prof. Noel Lindsay, Pro Vice-Chancellor of The University of Adelaide, delivered an illuminating inaugural address highlighting how the startup eco system across the Globe is getting influenced by the growth of AI and has predicted that going forward, a majority of startup will be in the AI space which opens up a great opportunity for the budding entrepreneurs.
Prof. TG Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE, graced the occasion with his enlightening address.
He emphasized the pivotal role of AI in shaping the future of industries and education, drawing from his extensive experience in educational governance and policy-making.
Dr. S Somanath, Chairman of ISRO & Secretary, Department of Space, provided unique insights into the intersection of AI with cutting-edge scientific research in the space applications.
Eight International AI experts and 14 Indian AI Experts spoke at the conference.
The event attracted a diverse audience of over 200 delegates, representing various industries and academia, including distinguished international participants and speakers.
