JAMMU, Aug 28: JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Jammu Centre today presented its annual awards in a fabulous fashion show wherein international models walked the ramp in costumes designed by student designers.
There were ten collections presented on various themes like butterflies, bohemian girl, aquanaut, virsa, royal robes, tomorrow land, one day ill fly, blaze-shades of grace and nightmares. Two installations of interior design department were also there inspired by dark forest and Rajathani festival of dinga gavar.
Super Models Lvey Arora and Kajal Shrivastav, Mr India Paramjeet Singh Cheema along with 12 International models set the ramp on fire.
The award for most commercially viable collection went to virsa by Davinder Kour, Manpreet Kour, Jasmeen Kour, Saima Muzzafar and Kirti Daffara.
The best design collection award went to aquanaut by Vandana Jain. Best design collection runners up went to one day ill fly by Loveleen Bhargav, Royal Robes by Pallvi Gupta, Aakriti Khanna, Shivani Sharma and Mrighnaini Gupta. Best design collection second runners-up went to blaze- shades of grace by Manika Singh, Prakriti Gupta and Kritika Gupta.
These collections were made possible only by the able faculty members of JD Institute Lakhwinder Kour, Pooja Sagar, Ekta Rani, Pooja Pandoh and Tanuj Chopra, all of whom were also felicitated on the occasion.
The show was organised and conducted by Maansi Gupta, Centre Director, JD Institute Jammu and Raman Gupta, Chairman, JD Institute Jammu. RC Dalal and Rupal Dalal, Executive Directors JD Institute of Fashion Technology were also present on the occasion.
