INTUC leader demands salaries for casual workers of DD Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 27: The senior INTUC leader, Pushkar Nath Pandita has expressed grave concern over non payment of wages to casual workers of DD Jammu for last six months.
In a statement issued here, today he said that these workers who have to feed their families are at the verge of starvation as they have not been paid salaries for last six months.
Mr Pandita in his appeal to CEO and DG Prasar Bharti urged them to release funds for DD Jammu without further delay so that the casual workers are paid wages.
He also urged Director DD Jammu to take up the issue with higher authorities on war footing. Mr Pandita demanded that Jammu DD be given funds for programmes also so that it can counter Pak propaganda which has resorted to border shelling by violating cease fire over last two months.
