UDHAMPUR, Apr 12: Senior leader of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) from Udhampur, Som Nath addressed various public meetings here today and urges people to vote for Congress candidate from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Constituency, Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Addressing the gathering at various locations of the district including Sewna, Chakhar, Power House, Battal Ballian and Phangyal, the INTUC leader said some parties are misguiding the people about the achievements of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, which are recorded in the history of the State.
Moreover, he has been awarded by World Health Organisation (WHO) for his better performance as Union Minister of India for Health and Family Welfare.
Seeking votes for Azad, Nath said maximum development in the State took place during the tenure of Azad, which till date has remained matchless.
He urged the people to vote for Azad wholeheartedly and send him in the Parliament so that he may continue supporting the people of the State.
Those who accompanied Som Nath included Sunil Badyal, Udayvir Singh, S P Varma, Sachin NSUI, B D Saristha, Sukh Ram Namberdar, Manmohan Raina, Dharam Chand, Vijay Kumar, Madan Lal, Romesh Kumar, Jyoti Parkash, Sanjay Kumar and Mohd Jaffer.
