NEW DELHI, July 17 : Jaipur Rugs, renowned for its exquisite handmade rugs, in partnership with Archdais, has announced the winners of its inaugural design and build competition for the Jaipur Rugs Flagship Store.
The competition attracted 1,500 participants from around the world, including countries such as India, Iran, UAE, Peru, United States, Malaysia, Italy, Indonesia, Russia, Canada, and the UK. After a rigorous selection process, 18 outstanding teams were shortlisted.
The competition culminated in a thrilling two-day event where finalists presented their innovative designs to a distinguished jury. The jury included Rutvi Chaudhary, Director of Jaipur Rugs; Mrudul Pathak Kundu, Editor of Elle Decor; and Greg Foster, Artistic Director of Jaipur Rugs. Each participant was given a precise 10-minute time slot to present their detailed plan for the upcoming flagship store, followed by a question and answer session.
Following insightful presentations and rigorous evaluation, the winners were announced. The first prize of ?100,000 was awarded to Mojtaba Shirazi, Hedie Bitaraf Haghighi, and Armaghan Deldar from Iran for their exceptional concept and design. Chetan Lahoti and Anand Deshmukh from India received the second prize of ?60,000 for their impressive exterior and carpet display design. Khadija Abizer from India won the third prize of ?40,000 for her remarkable Manchaha Rug Display design. Additionally, over 15 honourable mentions were recognised with Jaipur Rugs gift vouchers.

The competition highlighted innovative approaches to interior design while celebrating the rich heritage and craftsmanship that Jaipur Rugs represents. Archdais provided a global platform for design talents to shine. The competition aimed to enhance the beauty of the store’s offerings through spacious environments, accentuated lighting, and inventive display techniques.
