KATHUA, Sept 23: The irate villagers of Bhagial eight kms from here blocked Jammu-Pathankote National Highway for one hour in protest against the water crisIs in the area today.
The protesters shouting slogans against the PHE Department’s callousness said that the villagers are facing water shortage for last 10 days due to mechanical fault in motor.
Later the Executive Engineer PHE Mechanical Kathua Division and police officers rushed to the spot and assured the people that water supply will be restored by tomorrow the people lifted the Highway blockade.
