SAMBA, Apr 19: The irate people today protested in front of Samba District Hospital along with the dead body of a youth who was killed after the collapse of a wall of a dam at village Taloor in Samba district yesterday.
The protestors shouting slogans against the administration and alleged that the substandard material was used in the wall which collapsed yesterday.
They said when the dam is yet under construction how its wall collapsed and it indicates that the substandard material was used in its construction.
Later MLA Samba Yash Paul Kundal and DC Samba R K Varma visited and assured them that the Government will look into the issue.
The MLA Samba also assured them that the family will be paid exgraita.
Earlier the protestors tried to march towards National Highway and block it but their attempt was foiled by the police.
