IRCON bags two D&B Infra Awards

JAMMU, Oct 30: IRCON International Limited, a PSE in infrastructure sector under the Ministry of Railways, was selected as the Top Infrastructure Company under the category Construction and Infrastructure Development-Railways at the “Dun and Bradstreet Infra Awards 2015” for delivering exemplary performance.
Dun and Bradstreet (D&B), the world’s leading provider of global business information, knowledge and insight, announced and presented the Infra awards.
Mohan Tiwari, Chairman and Managing Director, IRCON, received the award at a ceremony held at the New Delhi recently.
Piyush Goyal, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy in the Government of India, also released the eighth edition of Dun and Bradstreet’s premier publication “India’s Leading Infrastructure Companies 2015” at the award ceremony.
IRCON also received award for the rail-cum-road bridge on river Ganga at Patna. IRCON has completed this 4.56 km long bridge, the longest steel truss bridge on Indian Railways. This is the second railway bridge over river Ganga in the State of Bihar connecting South Bihar to North Bihar.
