JAMMU, Aug 27: Ircon International Limited has won the first edition of India Today PSUs Awards 2014 for Corporate Social Responsibi-lity and Sustainability in Miniratna category.
The award in the form of a trophy was presented by Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan, to AK Goyal, Executive Director (Project), IRCON at a function in New Delhi, recently.
During the financial year 2013-14, the company spent an amount of Rs 8.49 crore on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustaina-bility activities against the earmarked amount of Rs 7.30 crore, thereby reinforcing its commitment towards society and sustainable development.
