JAMMU, Sept 13: Upholding the tradition of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) to provide succour and relief to all humanity without any bias, Executive Secretary, IRCS Jammu, Suresh Sharma along with his team handed over the relief material to the Indian Army for ifs onward distribution to the inaccessible areas.
Elaborating Suresh Sharma said that IRCS could not reach some of the inaccessible areas and it has been decided unanimously by the Chairman, IRCS, District Jammu, Ajit Sahu to handover the water-bottles, biscuits and other eatables to Indian Army for its distribution wherever necessary.
It may be mentioned here that IRCS is reaching out to the flood affected people at their doorsteps to provide them blankets, tarpauline and other ration items.
