JAMMU, Sept 14: To observe World First Aid Day, Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), J&K, here today organized First Aid Training sessions at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni to empower the general public and employees of different companies with essential life-saving skills.
The event highlighted the importance of First Aid knowledge in mitigating injuries during any man-made and natural disaster and saving lives in emergency situations.
To highlight the role of First Aid in ensuring productive and enjoyable sporting events for all, this year’s World First Aid Day theme was ‘First-Aid and Sports’.
The training was meticulously designed to cover a wide range of topics, including basic First Aid techniques, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), handling of fractures, bleeding, burns and other common injuries.
Doctors from Indian Red Cross Society led the sessions, ensuring that all the participants receive hands-on experience.
Speaking on the occasion, Rohit Khajuria, General Secretary, IRCS J&K emphasized the significance of First Aid in both personal and professional life.
“First Aid is a crucial skill that everyone should possess and we are dedicated to make it accessible to all,” he maintained.
The event concluded with certificate distribution among the participants.
