RAMBAN, Dec 20: A Head Constable (HC) of 9th Battalion of Indian Reserve Police (IRP) died under mysterious circumstances, here today.
As per police sources, a HC of 9th Battalion IRP namely Gurbachan Singh, son of Jaswant Singh of Raipur, District Samba was found unconscious in his barrack this evening.
He was immediately shifted to District Hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of District Hospital for autopsy, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Ramban police has initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC in this regard.
