UDHAMPUR, July 9: Under mysterious circumstances, an IRP Jawan was found dead in Dubi Ghali Nallah in Pancheri area, here today.
The deceased was identified as Yashpal (30), son of Roop Chand of Damnot, in Panchari Tehsil. His body was found at Dubi Gali nallah under mysterious circumstances. On being informed by some locals, SHO Panchari Arun Kaul along with a Police team rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to PHC Panchari for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
The deceased was in IRP and had come to his house on vacation only a few days back. Cause of death could not be immediately ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a laborer died due to electric shock at Jakhani in Udhampur. The deceased, identified as Ram Prasad (23), son of Subash Chander of village Khela Ramnagar, received electric shock when he was carrying a ladder, which came in contact with service line on a pole.
The police after completion of all the formalities and postmortem, handed over the dead body to family members of the deceased.
