Isolate elements inimical to unity, amity: Gul

MUMBAI, Aug 26: Advisor to Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul has stressed the crucial need of isolating elements inimical to unity and amity across the country and lauded the efforts in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and harmony between various communities.
Participating in Onam festivities, held under the auspices of K&K (Kashmir to Kanyakumari) Social Foundation here, Gul called for generating countrywide awareness on the significance of peace and tranquillity for the progress and prosperity of the country.
The Chief Minister Kerala Oommen Chandy and Chief Minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan were among the other dignitaries who attended the mega event.Mr Gul represented Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the event and conveyed good wishes and greetings on his behalf to the Keralities on the festivities.
Onam Festival symbolizes the unity in diversity among all communities in Kerala. More than 1000 guests, belonging to various segments of the society in Mumbai, as also a number of Keralities attended the festival.
The Advisor also conveyed the greetings on behalf Dr Farooq Abdullah, Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy.
He invited the K&K Foundation to conduct similar events aimed at forging bonds of brotherhood and unity between various communities in Jammu and Srinagar and assured that such efforts will prove boon for promotion of tourism in Kerala and J&K.
The Advisor said that unity of the people is essential for foiling the attempts of peace breakers and meeting the challenges faced to the country. Prominent among those present included, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Narayan Rane, Sunil Waman Prabhu Mayor of Mumbai and Prof. P.J. Kurien Member of Rajya Sabha besides Bollywood actors like Mukesh Rishi of Jammu,  Krishna Nayar the owner of 5 Star Leela Hotel and Prince Vidiyan President K&K Foundation.
