Isolated rain during next two days in Kashmir

Isolated or scattered rain is expected during the next two days in the Jammu and Kashmir, where the mercury remained above normal and weather remained pleasant.
A Met department spokesman said here this afternoon that there could be isolated or scattered rain from tomorrow evening which may continue on April 16 also.
He said mercury remained above normal in the Kashmir valley and weather was pleasant. Pahalgam, famed health resort in south Kashmir recorded lowest minimum temperature of 3 degree in the valley, which still was a notch above normal. This has resulted in increase in the water level in river Lidder passing through Pahalgam and other water bodies due to melting of snow on higher reaches.
He said world famous ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded 4.2 degree minimum temperature, more than three notches above normal while it was 6.4 degree at Kupwara. Qazigund recorded 6.3 degree which was a notch below normal while at Kokernag it was 8.3 degree, more than two notches above normal.
Spokesman said the mercury remained above normal in the summer capital, Srinagar where the maximum temperature was 25.6 degree, six notches above normal and minimum temperature 9.4 degree, more than two notches above normal. (AGENCIES)
