ITCO organizes CBP in Katra

KATRA, Mar 19: J&K Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organization (ITCO) Ltd, Jammu, organized fifth Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on use of consultancy services by client organizations, in association with Consultancy Development Center (CDC) DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, here today.
The chief guest was Shyam Lal Kesar, president, Hotels and Restaurants Association, Katra while many officers of Government Departments or organizations viz Forest, Medical, Tourism, PWD, Irrigation, Education, Agriculture, PHE, SBI, PNB, J&K Bank, UCO Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce and representatives of hotels also attended the programme.
Presenting, welcome address, SP Sud, associate consultant, J&K, ITCO, spoke about the aim and objectives of the programme.
The chief guest in his speech stressed upon the importance of consultancy services in the development of Hotel Industry specifically in Katra area. He also stressed upon the need to identify and exploit the potential area at Katra to develop and provide better facilities to the pilgrims visiting ‘Mata Vaishno Devi’.
Binoy Kumar, consultant, J&K, ITCO, took the technical session on different aspects of selection of consultants viz short listing of consultants, proposal invitation, proposal evaluation, etc. SP Sood took the session on consultant client agreement.
Presenting vote of thanks, Binoy Kumar highlighted the role of J&K ITCO and CDC for broader coverage of use of consultancy services in Industries, Hotels and Government Departments.
