ITI employees apprise Minister of their demands

JAMMU, Jan 18:  Jammu and Kashmir ITI Employees United Front submitted a memorandum of demands to Imran Raza Ansari, Minister for Technical Education, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports, highlighting the demands like holding of DPC meeting and filling up of vacant posts.
The memorandum was handed over to the Minister by the Front president, Nazir Ahmad Moulvi during convocation at ITI Jammu.
Besides DPC meeting, the Front demanded   uniform designation, change of nomenclature of some posts, removal of pay anomaly in different cadres, etc.
The front explained that various number of posts of Superintendents were lying vacant since long, which was hampering training programme badly of the institutes.
Further explaining that designation of instructional staff were different in different States and Union Territories, the Front suggested to maintain uniform designation of instructional staff and re-designating the post of Instructor and Group Instructor/Foreman Surveyor as Training Officer and Senior Training Officer, respectively.
Regarding the removal of pay anomaly in different cadres, the Front informed that it had approached to the State Government for redressal of pay disparity and a committee was constituted. The employees urged the Minister to take up the matter with the Finance Minister for redressal of their grievance.
The Minister assured the employees to look into their issues and also asked them to work hard to give best to the department.
