ITI employees demand implementation of Govt decisions

SRINAGAR, Apr 3: The meeting of all categories of employees of Technical education (ITI Sector) under the chairmanship of M J Ahangar, president All J&K Govt ITI Union, was held today where in the steps taken by the department regarding updating of previous recruitment rules in view of the creation of posts for implementation of 100 per cent Centrally sponsored schemes for up gradation and streamlining of existing ITI and suggestions of the employees representatives to integrate the creation in the existing relevant hierarchy of the posts in the rules were discussed in length.
“The employees’ representatives of all categories expressed their views before the president which were later consolidated and forwarded to the Deputy Director Technical Education and other concerned authorities for favour of necessary action,” statement said.
While consolidating the views of various categories of employees, the changing scenario of Technical Education Department by up gradation of various categories of posts vide Government order No 111-Edu (Tech) of 2008 dated 2.7.2007 and creation of posts for the implementation of 100% Centrally sponsored schemes for the up gradation and streamlining of existing ITI’s vide Government order No 67-Tech-Edu of 2008 dated 26.5.2008 and others were thoroughly taken into consideration .
The president of the union requested Minister for Technical Education Viqar Rasool and Shalin Kabra, Commissioner Secretary Technical Education not to consider the qualification obtained by any official in violation to higher education policy without Government approval in recruitment rules.
“There are some vested interest elements in the Directorate who are working overtime to further the cause of their undeserved blue eyed officials and are using every mean effort to provide extra share in promotional avenues for those candidates who have obtained diploma illegally without seeking permission from the department”, he said.
The president appealed the authorities to give equal share to all categories of employees working in the sector in the matter of promotions for the betterment and development of the department.
