ITI employees project issues before Advisor Bhatnagar

JAMMU, Jan 8: A delegation of J&K ITI United Front led by its president, Nazir Ahmed Molvi, along with other members met Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar , Advisor to Lt. Governor , Skill Development Department, Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir J&K, at Civil Secretariat, Jammu and had detailed discussion on the long pending genuine demands.
During meeting the delegation projected the issues of the employees of Technical Education Department. They demanded filling up the promotional categories vacancies of Deputy Director, Assistant Director, Principal, Superintendent, etc which are lying vacant since long and hampering training programme badly of the institutes; convening of meetings of DPCs on regular basis to fill promotional categories vacancies of Gazetted and Non- Gazetted J&K cadre as well divisional cadre posts; implementation of the recommendation of the DGT, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Govt of India, New Delhi relating to Pay Scale/Grade Pay Rs 4600 to the Instructor working under the Directorate of Skill Development Department; Change in nomenclature of the posts of Vocational Instructor and Group Instructor and re-designating these as Training Officer and Sr. Training Officer/ Training ; regularization of all ad hoc, contractual, academic vocational Instructors and consolidated basis who have completed seven years service or who have been cleared by the empowered committee under the Special Provision Act 2010 are lying with the General Administrative Department and enhancement of salary of contractual, academic vocational instructors and consolidated basis at least to the basic pay with grade pay or Rs 25,500/-as per DGT guidelines; modernize the infrastructure and construct new workshop cum modern class room as the existing workshop block at ITI Jammu is totally damaged.
They further pleaded that special efforts should be made to construct new workshop in shape of multi- storey building, auditorium -cum- conference hall at ITI Jammu.
The Advisor listened patiently and assured that all the genuine demands will be addressed shortly.
