ITI Front meets Secy Tech Edu, raises demands

JAMMU, Apr 25: A delegation of J&K ITI United Front led by its State President, Nazir Ahmed Molvi met Zubair Ahmad, Secretary Technical Education Department and demanded appointment of faculty members at various ITIs of the State.
The delegation said that there are vacancies of Superintendents at ITIs of Banihal, Bani, Bhallesa, Bhaderwah, Sunderbani etc which needs to be filled soon as the students are suffering a lot due to this.
The delegation also demanded removal of pay anomaly as there is disparity of pay in different cadres like Supervisor, Foreman, Surveyor, Group Instructor and AVTS Instructor.
Other demands included regularization of adhoc, contractual, academic and consolidated employees, holding of DPC meetings etc.
Still more demands included modernization of infrastructure and equipments and construction of new workshop cum class room block and auditorium at ITI Jammu in particular and many old ITIs in general.
The Secretary assured the delegation for taking appropriate action on the demands shortly.
Parvez Iqbal, Naresh Jamwal, Sumit Chandial, Navneet Gupta and Karan Singh were also present in the delegation.
