JAMMU, Feb 27: Dr GB Singh, Director of Health and Family Welfare (H&WF) Punjab inaugurated today a state-of–art Fresenius medical care dialysis center at Ivy Hospital, Mohali in Chandigarh.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kanwaldeep, Medical Director of Ivy Hospital said that the center is equipped with the latest Haemodialysis technologies. He said the patients will benefit from the care of experienced and dedicated renal care nurses and technicians who are committed to provide excellent treatment and support.
“The center will offer different types of dialysis therapies, including online hemodiafiltration (HDF), regular nephrologist visits in a quiet and safe clinic environment,” he added.
Dr Raka Kaushal, Director Nephrology said that online HDF allows better removal of waste products from the blood, which may contribute to improved survival for patients compared with those receiving standard hemodialysis.
“Under holistic approach to patient care, the center will offer holiday dialysis besides allowing patients travelling from other regions or from overseas to receive uninterrupted treatment,” she informed.
