JAMMU, Jul 25: In a tragic incident, two labourers died after a landslide hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Tuesday. The incident took place in the Sumbal area under the jurisdiction of Chatroo Police Station in the district.
The deceased have been identified as Aabid Hussain S/o Noor Husain and Musharaf S/o Mohd Akbar. Authorities reached the spot after getting the information and started a rescue operation. According to reports, Hussain died on the spot, while Musharaf was pulled out of the debris. However, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The incident occurred after an L&T machine came under a landslide during excavation work on the road in the area.
