UDHAMPUR, Mar 26: Advocate J D Slathia has been elected as President of District Bar Association, Udhampur for the second time.
Advocate Akhil Rajput was elected as Secretary and Advocate Anoop Gupta as the Treasurer.
The election was conducted under the supervision of Returning Officer, Advocate Ashutosh Gupta and Members Advocate Rahul Jandiyal, Advocate Vijay Lakshmi, Advocate Shivani Kotwal, Advocate Rohin Bhardewaj, Advocate Tarun Kalsotra, Advocate Rohit Sharma and Advocate Lohit Sharma.
Three candidates were in the fray for the post of President and two for the Secretary. Total 146 votes were cast. Advocate J D Slathia got 91 votes while Advocate Pawan Jandial was polled 38 votes and Advocate Dinkar Gupta secured 16 votes.
For the post of Secretary, Advocate Akhil Rajput got 94 votes and Advocate Nikhil Thakur was polled 51 votes. Advocate Anoop Gupta was elected as Treasurer unopposed.
