JAC counters propaganda against ETT Colleges

JAMMU, Nov 10: An emergency meeting of Joint Action Committee of ETT Colleges was held here today to discuss the ongoing burning issues and malicious propaganda against the ETT colleges by a section of Government authorities.
Deep Singh, a member of JAC, sought to clarify that after only one regular ETT session of 2006-08, functioning of the course was totally derailed by BOSE and School Education Ministry by their unwanted interventions resulting an atmosphere of uncertainty.
Pitamber Singh Langeh, another member of JAC, said that either ETT academic calendar was not timely prepared or not implemented for the last more than six years causing a disorder like situation in ETT course and thus reducing the number of admission seekers to 200-1300 in session 2012-14 whereas this number was above 40000 during the year 2006-2009.
The meet appealed the Chief Minister and School Education Minister for streamlining the process of ETT course instead of unwanted exploitation and harassment of the stakeholders.
