JAMMU, Dec 31: A joint meting of the representative of J&K Government Employees & Workers Joint Action Committee (JAC) (R) was held under the chairmanship Babu Hussain Malik, State president of the Association in which Khurshid Ahmed Dewani, Javed Ahmed Akhoon, Bharat Bushan, Yashpal Sharma, Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Parshotam Sharma, Seva Ram Rathore, Jaswant Singh, Meenakshi Sharma, Vipan Kumar, Yashpal Sharma, Kavi Raj, Inayat Ullah, Vikas Sharma, Munish Sharma, Uday Singh Pathania, Pawan Kumar, Mohammed Iqbal, Javed Iqbal, Vikas Gupta, Umer Jan, Rangil Singh, Lekh Raj, Satpal Singh, Ajay Khajuria, Ramesh Chander, Ali Mohammed, Raj Kumar, Ravinder Singh, Madan Lal, Pavnesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar and others participated.
All the representatives appealed to the State Government to release the pending 17 percent DA installment on the eve of New Year and also condemned the State Government for deliberately betraying from the commitment made between the employees and the Government in March 2008, February 2009 and September 2011 wherein it was promised to fulfill all the pending demands of the employees including removal of pay anomalies and disparity of clerical cadre but nothing has been done till date.
The meeting described Pay Anomalies Committee made by the Government as an eye wash just to befool the clerical cadre employee.
The meeting demanded removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre by giving grade of 4000-6000 to junior assistant and 4500-7000 to senior assistant and 5500-9000 to head assistant, release of pending DA, increase of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
