JACRC condemns remarks against Dr Ambedkar, seeks apology

JAMMU, Dec 20: Joint Action Committee of Reserved Categories under the aegis of Jammu & Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance, a frontal organization of SC/ST/OBCs including members of various socio-religious groups, ex-ULB members, Sarpanchs, besides retirees and youths severely criticized and condemned uncalled for remarks of Home Minister in Lok Sabha, quoting Dr BR. Ambedkar disrespectfully.
In a press conference these members in unison demanded apology from Amit Shah without any delay or false justifications of his remarks. They also warned that if remedy not taken by BJP under Modi, the situation may take different turns for which BJP/RSS shall be responsible for any untoward outcomes. They reminded Amit Shah and Modi that Baba Saheb Ambedkar is not only Father of Indian Constitution, First Law Minister of the Country, Bharat Ratan but also the ideologue and emancipator of Dalit Bahujans and women folk of this country and hence should be addressed with utmost respect and reverence. Any disrespect towards him shall be viewed seriously by his followers and they shall go up to any extent to protect dignity and respect of Baba Saheb.
Prof GL Thapa, working president, JKRCEA while further castigating the Home Minister said that the ruling dispensation of country create divisive situations in the country from time to time probably to destabilize the system and cover up their wrong doings on financial, social, political, regional and religion fronts. SCs, STs, OBCs of the country very well know that the founders of RSS-BJP had venomous thinking for Constitution and Dr Ambedkar since pre-independence. Their utterance speaks volumes about the disrespect and hatred for Dr Ambedkar. Narendra Modi, Arjun Ram Megwal (SC) and even HM tried to put blames on opposition for defaming Bhim Rao, purely in an attempt to cover up wrong utterances of Amit Shah.
Mohinder Bhagat, general saecretary, JKRCEA; Sham Sham Basson, president Dalit Chetna Munch & ex Corporator also spoke on the occasion.
The members unanimously resolved to take peaceful protest march on Dec 21 at SIDCO Chowk, Bari Brahmana.
Puran Chand, Prof. Kali Dass, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Joginder Paul, F.C. Satiah, Balwant Kataria and several others were present on the occasion.
