Jagran held at W No 34

JAMMU, Mar 25: To mark the celebration of the nine day long Navratra festival and to bring prosperity and peace in the life of the inhabitants, a jagran was organised by the volunteers of Ward Number 34, Doordarshan lane near Tali Morh.
On the occasion, senior Congress leader Surinder Singh Shingari was the chief guest, whileas other prominent persons from political background were also present.
The jagran commenced at 8:00 pm and conclude with Aarti at 5:00 am next morning, in which hundreds of devotees from various areas participated and took away the blessings of Goddess Durga for happy and prosperous life.
Various artists from Punjab including Munish and Sandeep Singh presented songs on Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and other God and Goddess. Skits based on life of Goddess Durga, Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati left the audience spell-bound.
During the jagran, devotees were seen dancing on the tunes of the devotional songs, going into the state of trance.
The jagran was organized by Sunny, Gulshan and Rajinder.
