Jagti inmates demand handing over of water supply to Jal Shakti

JAMMU, Apr 7: The inmates of Jagti have demanded handing over of the water supply of the township to the Jal Shakti Department immediately.
In a statement Sunil Pandita a social activist and camp inmate said that people are not getting the pure drinking water for over a fortnight as the Relief organisation has no technical staff to deal with the problem. He said the water supplied from the river Tawi is not being properly filtered. He said the water is supplied by a contractor who is unable to maintain the proper and clean water supply to the camp inmates.
Pandita also demanded posting of staff in Middle and Higher Secondary school Jagti township so that the students are not put to problems.
