JAMMU, July 26: Jagti inmates have expressed grave concern over the water scarcity being faced by them for a pretty long time.
The Jagti Migrant Welfare Movement in a statement said that the people are facing grave hardships due to drinking water scarcity in the township and despite repeated pleas to concerned authorities they have failed to solve the problem. The president of the Movement, Sunil Pandita alleged that for years together the Jagti residents have been demanding construction of a viable water supply scheme for over 4000 families residing in the township who were facing this problem every year in monsoons and rainy season but the Government has failed to concede this demand putting the inmates to lot of hardships.
T K Dhar, Ashwani Bhat, Rakesh Koul, Sanjay Dhar and the other office bearers of the Movement said that in case concrete steps will not be taken to solve the pressing demand the inmates of the township will have no alternative but to launch the agitation.
