Jagti inmates face water scarcity

JAMMU, July 31: The inmates of Jagti Camp have expressed grave concern over the water scarcity and demanded its immediate restoration water supply to the camp.
In a statement issued here today, the camp inmates warned agitation in case the water supply was not restored within two days.
“We are facing acute water scarcity for over last fortnight and it has generated a lot of resentment in the camp”, said Pinto Ji a camp inmate and a social activist. “We made repeated pleas to authorities concerned but they failed to solve the problem till date so we are left with no alternative but to come to streets”, he added.
The camp inmates have decided to block the National Highway incase the water supply was not restored within two days, said Vinod Tickoo and Sunil Pandita of Relief holders.  They in an appeal sought immediate attention of Relief authorities in the matter.
