Jagti inmates highlight problems

JAMMU, Oct 11: Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj (VKS) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Pintoo Ji at Jagti and discussed issues threadbare.
The meeting appealed that Government to take immediate cognizance of the following burning issues of the community like one employment in every family and reservation in Central Government jobs, enhancement of relief from one hundred eight rupees to two hundred fifty rupees per day per soul.
While addressing the meeting Pintoo Ji and the members however complimented LG for conducting and extending welfare schemes under Back to Village programme to the displaced community for which KPs have been fighting since long and were deprived.
The meeting demanded extension of Beti Padao and Beti Bachao, Khelo India, KVIC,KVIB schemes ,declaring of KPs as economically weaker section people and simultaneously relief should not be considered as income. Repair and renovation of play ground and construction of indoor and outdoor hall for sports activities, as the community youth have been deprived from the entertaining programs and sports activities.
It demanded footpath along the main road side and garbage should be dumped outside the camp to avoid the infectious disease, construction of toilet complex near to play ground and at some points under the Swachh Bharat Abiyaan scheme. Police entry points at the entrance and exit of the camp.
