Jagti inmates hold protest

JAMMU, June 14: The inmates of Jagti township held a protest demonstration in front of Press Club here today under the aegis of Displaced Kashmiri Pandit Forum Jagti.
The protest was led by T N Bhat and while expressing their dismay over the negligent attitude of State Government demanded immediate settlement of their long pending demands.
They alleged that for last 28 years both State as well as Central Government has failed to pay any heed towards the demands of the Pandits.

The protesters demanded permanent rehabilitation of community in Valley as per its geopolitical aspirations, enhancement of cash relief, compensation to over-aged youth, ex-gratia of gutted houses and destroyed property, implementation of PM’s employment  package in letter and spirit,  renovation of quarters at Jagti and improvement in water supply, shifting of Relief Organization to Jagti township and it should be monitored by Government of India, facilities be provided at Jagti hospital and launching of special recruitment drive for migrants youth.
Chaman Lal Pandita, Bushan Lal, Roshan Lal, Ashok Dhar, Bansi Lal, Santosh Pandita, Babloo Ji Goswami, Raja Ji Ganjoo, Santosh Raina, T K Dhar, Sunil and others addressed the gathering.
