JAMMU, Aug 11: The Kashmiri migrants residing in Jagti Colony at Nagrota today held protest against the serious crisis of drinking water.
The migrants under the banner of Jagti Tenement Committee/ Soan Kashmir Front, led by Shadi Lal Pandita assembled at the Jagti township today and held protest against the PHE/Jal Shakti authorities Nagrota. They alleged that the concerned PHE officials have failed to provide regular water supply to the mirgrants’ colony for the last few weeks, due to which the residents are suffering.
Pandita alleged that concerned officials alleged that due to flood in Tawi river one problem has been erupted at the Sitlee water station. But they have failed to make even alternative arrangement. He appealed to the District Administration Jammu to intervene into the matter and ensure regular supply of water.
