Jai Maa Surbhi Gau Samiti Trust holds Gaushala review meet; Sham pledges support

AKHNOOR, Jan 5: The Jai Maa Surbhi Gau Samiti Trust Akhnoor orchestrated a comprehensive review meeting on Friday, focusing on the ongoing operations of the Gaushala and outlining future developmental plans.
The event witnessed the presence of notable figures, including former Minister Sham Lal Sharma, Mahant Keshav Shastri, Pandit Subhash Shastri, and local Sarpanchs, among others.
Members of the Jai Maa Surabhi Gau Samiti Trust shared insights into the recent accomplishments at the Gaushala, which currently shelters around 100 cows.
They emphasized the need for collective support and cooperation to ensure the well-being of the bovines.
The committee members urged for a regular roster of veterinary doctors to provide timely treatment to the cows and expressed gratitude for the support received from Akhnoor Municipality and Akhnoor Veterinary Hospital.
During the meeting, discussions revolved around crucial aspects such as constructing additional sheds for the increasing number of cows, elevating the boundary wall of the Gaushala, and securing recurring revenue for its seamless functioning.
Former Minister Sham Lal Sharma commended the commendable work carried out by the Jai Maa Gau Surbhi Gau Samiti in rescuing and caring for bovines.
He extended gratitude to all those supporting this noble cause and acknowledged the pivotal role played by local authorities and police in initiating the Gaushala.
Sharma pledged his full cooperation for the Gaushala’s development, assuring to address issues related to medical facilities with higher officials. He called for the inclusion of like-minded individuals from Akhnoor city and villages in the Gaushala Committee to collectively contribute to this benevolent cause.
Mahant Keshav Shastri and Pandit Subhash Shastri highlighted the revered position of cows in Hindu religion, emphasizing the belief that serving mother cow pleases all Gods and Goddesses.
Religious enthusiasts present at the review meeting enthusiastically filled the membership forms of Jai Maa Surabhi Gau Samiti Trust, expressing their commitment to guide and support the Gaushala’s development and regular functioning.
The meeting’s arrangements were efficiently managed by the founder of Jai Maa Surbhi Gau Samiti Akhnoor, Rajinder Singh, and other members including Gaurav Sharma, Karn Sharma, Rimpi Singh, Shiv Sharma, Sushil Sharma, and others.
