JAMMU, Feb 12: The Home Department today ordered that the 1999 cadre AGMUT cadre IPS officers Anand Jain and Nitish Kumar shall continue to work on their present positions even as they have been promoted to the rank of Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGPs).
“In the interest of administration, it is hereby ordered that IPS officers Anand Jain (IGP Jammu Zone) and Nitish Kumar (IGP CID, J&K), upon their promotion to the grade of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), shall continue in the present position, with the post declared equivalent in the rank and the status to that of ADGP, till held by them,” read an order issued by Santosh D Vaidya, Principal Secretary to the Government, Home Department.
