Jain Sabha holds function

JAMMU, Feb 22: A simple but impressive function was held by S.S Jain Sabha, Jammu in which the elected representatives of Jammu City were honoured along with member Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh and senior BJP leaders and Gen Sec (org), Ashok Kaul and MLA Billawar Dr. Nirmal Singh. Speaking at the occasion Ashok Kaul was praiseworthy for the programme held by Jain Sabha & said that Jain Samaj is really a sophisticated Samaj and their contribution to the social, cultural & economic matters can’t be ignored.
Speaking at the occasion, former BJP president & member Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh said that Jain community always stood for national cause. He said that as per my knowledge, institutes of Jain Sabha like Shri Mahavir Jain High School, Shri Mahavir Jain Charitable Aushdalaya and Shri Mahavir Shilp Kendra are providing services to the poor and needy as per their best abilities.
Dr. Nirmal Singh, on the occasion said that to the best of my knowledge, Jain Community always comes forward whenever its services are required for welfare of people. He praised the contribution of Jain community for upliftment of society.
Former Mayor of Jammu and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta said that his association with S.S Jain Sabha is not new and he salutes Jain Community for their constructive involvement in social & cultural matters.
MLA Jammu West & former general secretary Sat Sharma and MLA Jammu East & former district president Rajesh Gupta also spoke on the occasion.
Later, all the invited guests were presented mementos.
President S.S Jain Sabha Raj Kumar Jain presided over the function while vice president Surinder Kumar Jain presented the mementos to the visiting dignitaries.
Students of S.M. Jain Higher Secondary School and members of Jain Taruni Mandal & Shraman Sanskriti Manch recited devotional and patriotic songs.
General secretary S.S. Jain Sabha, Raman Jain conducted the proceedings and Sarita Jain, general secretary Jain Istri Sabha, Sandeep Jain and Rajnish Jain also spoke on the occasion.
