JAMMU, Mar 27: To mark the beginning of celebration of Mahaveer Jayanti, Prabhat Pheri was organized today in old Jammu City by Jain Yuvak Sangh, Jammu.
Under the leadership of president, Jain Yuvak Sangh, Jammu, Rahul Nahar, the ‘Prabhat Pheri’ started from Jain Sthanak, Jain Bazaar, Jammu, early morning. The Jain community comprising people of all age groups participated in it with full enthusiasm.
The programme started with recitation of Mahamantra Navkaar and it was followed by bhajans. The procession comprising hundreds of people passed through Patel Bazaar, Purani Mandi, Jain Bazaar, Pacca Danga, Moti Bazaar and culminated at Shree Nek Chand Memorial Hall, Rani Park, Jammu, where breakfast was served to the participants.
The programme was attended by various organizations affiliated to SS Jain Sabha, Jammu and people of Jain community in general.
