Excelsior Correspondent
New Delhi, July 20: Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Arun Jaitley will address the seminar on J&K Interlocutors Report to be held at India International Center (IIC) New Delhi on Saturday.
Besides Jaitley, the four-member panel of speakers at the seminar will consist of Dileep Padgaonkar, the head of Interlocutors team, Dr Jitendra Singh, BJP National Executive Member & party’s J&K Chief Spokesperson, who is also a noted author and Arif Mohd Khan, veteran leader and former minister.
While Arun Jaitley will be the principal  speaker at the seminar, Dileep Padgaonkar is expected to present his interpretation in defence of the report and Dr Jitendra Singh is expected to state facts, figures and evidence on the basis of which the nationalist intelligentsia across the country has opposed the recommendations and inferences in the report. Arif Mohd Khan is expected to present the view from another perspective.
Pertinent to mention that the JK Study group and some other organizations have over the last few weeks organized a series of academic seminars, workshops and group discussions throughout the country for a free, fair exchange of opinions on the Interlocutors’ Report which was made public on May 24.
There has been a tremendous response to such an exercise not only in J&K and its neighbouring States but also from important south Indian States of Tamil Nadu,Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
